Lisa Knows What Life With a Disability Means
Lisa Lang, Esq., grew up in Southern Oregon. She was raised by a mother with a disability. After years of debilitating symptoms that were progressive, her mother was finally diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
After high school, Lisa became a lead paralegal for eight years for a handicapped attorney.
Through a lifetime with her mother and a near decade with her supervisory lawyer, Lisa quickly understood the day-to-day struggles of living with a disability – whether those struggles took place at home or in the workplace. Suffice to say, she developed a strong passion for helping disabled people.
Lisa Has Over 20 Years of Experience as a Social Security Disability Attorney
Lisa graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School in 1995. Shortly thereafter, she embarked upon a legal career that focused primarily in the arena of Social Security Disability.
Some of her notable past experiences include:
- A clerkship with former plaintiff’s firm, Pozzi, Wilson, Atchison
- A solo practice at Johnston Porter Law Office
- Partner at KP Law, P.C. (providing legal services in Social Security Disability, disability rights education, and public policy advocacy on behalf of disabled citizens, primarily in the Pacific Northwest)
Lisa started Lisa Lang Law, LLC, dba Empowered Disability, in an effort to offer a wider span of services for injured and disabled clients.
With Lisa’s advocacy skills, Empowered Disability is now one of the most premier law firms in Social Security Disability on the West Coast.
